STAYouth and Young Adult Mission Statement

We, the parish staff and parishioners of St. Thomas Aquinas, seek to provide our youth and young adults a safe and secure environment in which all are welcome to explore and to deepen their Catholic faith in God as Three-in-One (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) through our parish community in its fullness, each other, and with all whom they come into contact every day.

NEW STAYouth Ministry group on Facebook.  All STAYouth and friends of STAY encouraged to join.

October is Time and Talent month in our parish!  Youth Ministry needs include the ongoing formation of volunteer core team for either Middle School or High School.  We are seeking spirit-filled, dynamic, and youthful individuals who enjoy sharing themselves and their faith with youth and teenagers.

Sun, Oct. 5:

  • Blessing of Animals - 3:00pm at Our Lady of the Rosary site
  • STAY sessions - 7:00-8:30pm at OLR site

Sun., Oct. 12   4 Masses at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (7:30am, 8:45am, 10:30am, 12:00pm)

Sat, Oct 18    5:00pm mass at St. Albert the Great Church.

Sun, Oct. 19    9:00am mass at St. Albert the Great Church.

Sun, Oct. 26     9:00am Spanish mass & 10:30am English mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

STAYoung Adult Ministry (college-age, 20s-30s; single or married)

Fri, 10/3:  Taize Prayer @ Mercy Center.  YA Mass & Social 6:30-7:45pm; Taize 8:00-9:30pm every First Friday of each month.  Simple Christian phrases/chants set to music and sung in community, with veneration of the cross.  Largest ecumenical Taize in the Bay Area.  2300 Adeline Dr., Burlingame.

Sun, 10/12:  Mass and a Meal.  Join us for 10:30am mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (751 Waverly St.), followed by lunch in beautiful downtown Palo Alto.

Wed, 10/29:  Young Adult Halloween Mass and Party, 7:30PM, Fr. Doyle Hall, St. Joseph Church, 582 Hope St, Mountain View
The Young Adult Circle Halloween tradition continues. Join the Young Adults(20's and 30's, single or married) from all over for our Mass (celebrated by Fr. Bob Moran) in the basement of St. Joseph Church followed by a Halloween party with treats provided by the Young Adults of Deanery 2. Contact Bernadette, youngadultjoseph@yahoo.com

Deanery 2 Young Adult Circle Retreat 2008 The Dwelling Place of God: Where does God live in you, in me, and in the world?  Fri, Nov. 7, 8pm thru Sun 11/9, Noon.
