Communications Boards

ebulletin

Most current communications vehicles in our parish have long lead times which don't meet our occasional need for "late breaking information".

With the exception of the parish web site, our standard communications vehicles (Bulletin, posters, etc.) require one to be present at a parish worship site or the Pastoral Center to view ("You must be present to play" (which is limited for timely communications). So the ebulletin has been developed and is now available to interested parishioners.

Timing:

1) The eBulletin is emailed each Friday morning to the Google Group "paloaltocatholic-EBulletin@googlegroups.com"

Subscription Requests (to receive the eBulletin)

2) Subscription requests should be sent to ebulletin@paloaltocatholic.org and the eBulletin editor will add them to the Google eBulletin Group

3) It is not necessary to have a Google/Google Group account in order to receive email copies of the eBulletin.

4) The Google group has been created so that only the eBulletin editor can send email to the list; preventing the possible issue of someone "Replying to all" or inappropriate SPAM.

Submissions

1) Submissions should be sent to ebulletin@paloaltocatholic.org

Submission deadline is 6:00 p.m. each Thursday

2) Regular STA Bulletin posting guidelines apply

3) The eBulletin is assembled each Thursday evening by a volunteer editor as a member of the parish Communications Committee.

4) Typical content:

i. Upcoming parish events

ii. Special liturgical celebrations: blessings, RCIA, 2nd collections

iii. Meeting reminders for parish groups

iv. Pointer to the parish web site for the full copy of the weekend Bulletin

v. Reminders for Deanery and other events supported by the parish.
