Human Concerns Committee Profile

The Human Concerns Committee responds to Jesus'
command to love neighbor and ourselves by working for the common good of humanity. We work to alleviate
the distresses of hunger, homelessness, disease, lack of housing, health care, and other privations.
On-going Activities:
1. Hotel de Zink (providing
food for the homeless on a rotating basis with other churches in the area)
2. Letters to legislators on hunger issues
3. Death penalty education
4. Immigration reform
5. Thanksgiving Food Drive
6. Christmas Giving Tree and gift distribution
7. Undie Sunday (clothing drive for the poor)
