STAY COOL is the service/justice arm of STA Youth Ministry.  Many of the activities take place during Sunday night STAY sessions, however, there are several other weekend opportunities at which families are also encouraged to participate.

  1. Sunday 10/3 12:00-1:30 pm: Middle school and High School students are needed to help run the game booths-- 1/2 hour shifts are available.

  2. Sunday 10/17  7:00 pm:  During Youth Group Session, high schoolers will prepare for the Parish-wide Food Drive held throughout November.

  1. Sunday 11/6-Sunday 12/5: Parish-wide Food Drive.

  2. Friday 11/19 6:00-9:00 pm:  Package Thanksgiving dinners at St. Francis Church, 1425 Bay Rd., East Palo Alto.  A parish favorite!  All are welcome. New Date and Time.

  1. Sunday 12/5 11:30 am: Help sort and stock the food closet at OLR with the November Food Drive Donations. All are welcome!

  2. Sunday 12/5 7:00 pm:  During Youth Group Session, middle schoolers will make ornaments for our parish’s homebound.

  3. Friday 12/17 6:00-9:00 pm:  Package Christmas dinners at St. Francis Church, 1425 Bay Rd., East Palo Alto.  A parish favorite!  All are welcome. New Date and Time.

  4. Saturday 12/18 9:00 am:  Help decorate Our Lady of the Rosary for the Christmas holiday.

  5. Monday-Wednesday 12/21-12/23  2pm-6pm:  St. Francis Church 1425 Bay Road  EPA. All STAY families are invited to come and help package the Giving Tree donations. This event is open to both middle school and high school youth but all youth must be accompanied by a parent. Packaging will take place in the school behind the church.

  1. Sunday 1/30 7:00 pm:  During Youth Group Session, middle schoolers will bring canned goods to session and make valentines cards for Second Harvest Food Bank’s senior brown bag recipients.

  1. Sunday 2/13 6:00 pm: Food drive for Second Harvest. Everyone is asked to bring donations to the youth mass.

  2. Friday 4/8 Hotel De Zink 7:30-9:30 pm

  3. Saturday 4/16 8:30 am: Help decorate Our Lady of the Rosary for Holy Week.

  4. Sunday 4/17 7:00 pm:  During Youth Group Session, high schoolers will make Easter Baskets for the 50 to 60 children living at Haven Family House in Menlo Park. Supplies are needed--click here to sign up.

  1. Sunday 5/1 1:00-4:00 pm: Walk in their shoes community parade and festival benefiting homeless children. Washington Park, Burlingame. For more information, click here.

  2. Sunday 5/1 6:00-7:00 pm:  During Confirmation Session, candidates will assemble layette packages, make gift tags and posters, and decorate the OLR crib in support of the May Parish-wide Layette Drive.

  3. Saturday  5/14 5:00 pm:  STAY High School will help with the reception that follows the Confirmation mass at St. Albert the Great Church.
